At the beginning of fall quarter, on September 28th, Cal Poly SWE Outreach members hosted an Ice Cream Social in the red brick dorms. The social aimed to get more freshmen involved and interested in the work that Cal Poly SWE does. In addition to this, the freshmen in the dorms got to meet older SWE members and bond with their new dorm-mates. The event was hosted from 7-8:30pm and lots of interested freshmen attended. The new members were mingling while enjoying ice cream provided by SWE and starting to build the community of women engineers that makes SWE so invaluable.
