SWENext Digital Pen Pals

Over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year, 11 SWENexters and 22 Cal Poly Engineering students joined CPSWE as mentors for CPSWE’s SWENext Digital Pen Pals Program. Digital Pen Pals is a mentorship program that pairs Cal Poly Engineering Students with SWENexters who are interested in engineering. Pen Pal “families” are grouped together based on similar career goals and interests so there’s no shortage of topics to talk about! As a digital pen pal, SWENexters meet with their “family" via WebCam once a month and share their experiences with them while discussing the month’s topic. Monthly topics varied each month and included Women on the Cutting Edge, Women Impacting Technology, Positivity During a Storm, and Productivity and Balance.
