DCAB Tri-Tip Challenge - January 26, 2019
The Diversity Committee Advisory Board put on it’s annual Tri-Tip Challenge, where students from IEEE, NSBE, SHPE, SWE, and WISH are able to hike the mountains of San Luis Obispo together and enjoy a Tri-Tip sandwich from Firestone Grill afterwards.
This year there were 8 students that completed the Tri-Tip Challenge from NSBE, SHPE, and SWE! We started off our morning with a view of Cal Poly from the “P” and went to the top of the mountain to get a nice view of the green Poly Canyon.
Next we went to the ‘M’ on Cerro San Luis, a.k.a. Madonna Mountain, where we were joined by more members from NSBE. And last, but not least, we hiked to the top of Bishop’s Peak, with the best view of San Luis Obispo! After all that hiking, we celebrated completing the Tri-Tip Challenge at Firestone, where we all ordered a yummy Tri-Tip Sandwich!
